Stephen Warren

Stephen attended the University of Durham and completed his legal studies at the Chester College of Law. He has a niche knowledge of building regulation cases and of planning law. He is experienced in employers liability cases, occupiers and public liability cases. Stephen qualified as a solicitor in June 2005.


Recent Cases

Saxton v Dun Fab Engineering Company Limited

Acceleration of problems with the knees and Hips requiring replacement of all four joints which in addition resulted in the development of Athletes Neurosis.

Amount Recovered - £110,000

Mr Saxton was working as an engineer operating a Horizontal Boring machine. As a result of the incomplete handrails/safety equipment around the machine, Mr Saxton fell from the machine landing on the concrete below.

Mr Saxton suffered direct injuries to his shoulder, knees and hips and consequently was forced to retire early. The sudden impact on his life additionally lead to the development of a form of Athletes Neurosis which then further impeded Mr Saxton’s life.

It was not possible to settle the claim whilst Mr Saxton was still undergoing surgeries on the Orthopaedic injuries. A leading Barrister was instructed to assist with the case and settlement of the Claim was achieved in the sum of £110,000.


Parkin v Rolland

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (with subsequent age related orthopaedic symptoms)

Amount Recovered - £96,752.77

Mrs Parkin suffered Psychological trauma as a consequence of an explosion and fire started negligently by a neighbour. Unfortunately, the Psychological symptoms additionally caused a spiralling physical deterioration in the Claimant.

Leading Counsel was instructed to represent the Claimant and the Court awarded £96,752.77 to the Claimant.
