Nigel Smith
Nigel attended the University of Wales in Cardiff. He qualified as a solicitor in October 1981. He is a member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) and holds the title of Litigator at the College of Personal Injury Law. He is also a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel.Nigel has extensive experience of most areas of Personal Injury law, including clinical negligence work and industrial disease claims. His particular areas of expertise are employers liability cases and spinal and brain injury claims. Nigel previously practised at Forbes Solicitors.
Nigel is also a member of the Manchester Law Society and the Manchester Medico-Legal society. Nigel is in addition, an active member of Headway and chair of the Halton branch of Headway. Nigel is a member of the industrial disease group and is instrumental in organising training. Nigel is a military historian and has published several works on nineteenth century military history topics.
