Mark Thomson

Mark is a Partner and Head of the Serious & Catastrophic Injury Department. He specialises in acting for victims of accidents resulting in serious spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, multiple and complex fractures and fatal injury.

As an example of his catastrophic injury work, Mark recently acted for Mr Tony Norwood of Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland. Tony had been a single parent for many years and had just started a new job as a lorry driver when he suffered an accident at work which meant he would find it very difficult to work again. Tony sustained a below knee amputation of his right leg.

Mark obtained a substantial financial settlement that meant Tony was able to purchase the latest light weight prosthetics to enable him to walk better. In addition, a new house has been purchased giving Tony room to use his wheelchair together with domestic help around the home. Tony suffered terribly from depression following the accident but the settlement has helped him come to terms with the accident.

Mark’s practice involves acting for clients throughout England and Wales and regularly travels to visit clients at their home.

He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

He has lectured widely in the field of personal injury litigation.
