Karl Tonks
Karl is the head of the Employers' Liability department at Fentons, with more than 20 years' experience and particular expertise in accidents at work and industrial disease.
A partner at the firm, Karl is a former President of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers), the national not-for-profit organisation for injured people.
He is the head of training at Fentons, responsible for the development of solicitors, and in 2011 was invited to join the Forum of Complex Injury Solicitors. Karl is an Assessor to the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and also a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers’ Association.
Karl has led APIL’s campaign for a fund of last resort to be established for people who are sick and dying because of exposure to asbestos at work. He is also a contributor to "Occupational Illness Disease," published by Sweet & Maxwell.
Karl completed his law degree at Manchester University and then attended Guildford College of Law.
