Nick Godwin
Nick specialises in serious injury claims including brain and psychiatric injury, complex orthopaedic and amputation cases, fatal accidents, criminal injuries compensation and claims arising from road traffic collisions. Nick also has particular expertise in employers' liability cases, including accident at work claims and industrial disease.
A graduate of the University of Exeter, Nick completed his Legal Practice Certificate at the London College of Law, qualifying as a solicitor in 2001. Joining Fentons in 2010, his cases regularly attract substantial, six figure damages. Recent successes include securing £250,000 for a teacher who suffered permanent, albeit minor, brain damage and two of the three highest ever awards for teachers from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority - both in excess of £250,000.
A member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) and the Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme, Nick is the author of the chapter on Work Equipment in the widely published Workplace Law Handbook, 2010.
