Charity Ball is sell-out success

14th September 2009

With just weeks to go before the Fentons Solicitors Vintage Hollywood Charity Ball, all 450 tickets for the event have already been sold.

Tickets to the October evening of glitz and glamour have been snapped up by colleagues and contacts from across the country, with all proceeds from the event going to the firm's nominated charities Brake, Headway, the Spinal Injuries Association and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Family Liaison and Co-ordination of Support Services group (FLACSS) - which brings together and supports those charities working with families bereaved as a consequence of murder, manslaughter and road collision - will also be a beneficiary of the event for the first time.

"The response has been amazing," said partner Deborah Johnson. "We had 300 people at the last event and raised over £20,000. With so many more guests attending this year, we're hoping to do even better."

Fundraising activities at the event will include a raffle and charity auction, with such exclusive lots as a break at a villa in the Grenadines, a lobster fishing trip and a cricket shirt signed by Ashes hero Freddie Flintoff.
