Mr Morris was working as a roofer collecting tiles from a builders yard when he was crushed against his van by a fork lift truck causing an above knee amputation. The accident occurred in 2005 and Fentons with the assistance of a leading QC settled his case for £1.1 m. Mr Morris received compensation which has enabled him to buy a specially adapted bungalow fitted with the latest technology. He has been fitted with the most advanced prosthesis available to help him achieve greater mobility and independence together with a lifetimes lost earnings and a daily carer to help with the heavier jobs around the home. Settlement was achieved just over 2 years after the accident.
